Generally speaking, the motor operates at a high speed but with low torque. In this case, we use a
soft tooth surface reducer to reduce the motor speed and increase the torque, in other words, to improve the motor's working efficiency. Soft tooth surface reducers can also change the output direction, such as changing the original motor output shaft from clockwise to counterclockwise rotation, or turning the output direction 90 degrees.
1. Reduce costs
The price of general motors is much higher than that of soft tooth surface reducers. Pairing with a soft tooth surface reducer can increase torque, which is equivalent to increasing the power of the motor. A lower power motor is used in conjunction with a soft tooth surface reducer to achieve the required output power. Due to the use of motors with lower output power, the overall configuration cost can also be significantly reduced.
2. Protect the motor
The soft tooth surface reducer is installed between the motor and mechanical equipment, and it needs to withstand a large torque during operation. If there is an excessive load, the soft tooth surface reducer will be damaged first, which has the function of protecting the motor. The cost of maintaining or replacing the soft tooth surface reducer at the same time is relatively low, which can also reduce maintenance costs.
3. Save energy
When the motor is directly connected to mechanical equipment for operation, in order to meet the required torque, the operation is reduced. At this time, the current will increase significantly, which not only consumes more energy but also heats up the motor. If the motor has poor heat dissipation, it is likely to cause the motor to burn out. Using a soft tooth surface reducer can reduce energy consumption and also avoid motor damage.
